Disney’s Wide World of Sports ComplexWalt Disney World Resort is all about fun. Kids of all ages have their theme parks. Some will enjoy shopping at the Boardwalk or Downtown Disney. Others will lounge by the water at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. Sports fans, the magic of Disney has created Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex just for you. Home to both spring training for the Atlanta Braves and summer camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex is a 220 acre sports training facility hosting over 200 sporting events a year, from aerobic competitions to roller hockey. The complex is configured to accommodate 50 different sports across 9 different venues, including basketball, baseball, track and field, and volleyball. The complex is also the headquarters for endurance races that encompass the entire Walt Disney World Resort, including marathons and cycling races. No matter what time of year you visit there are plenty of sporting events to catch, both amateur and professional. Sports fans will also enjoy the dining at the Wide World of Sports Café, a sports themed restaurant (of course) that serves lunch and dinner, or picking up a hot dog or nachos from one of the many vendor carts that dot the complex. You can reach the Wide World of Sports Complex inside the resort via water taxi, bus or tram depending upon the specific Disney World resort, hotel or venue. For visitors arriving by car, there is plenty of complimentary self parking available.
