Downtown Disney West Side.

Catch a flick at the 24 screen AMC Pleasure Island Theater or shop for tunes at the Virgin Megastore. Those are just warm ups however for a performance at Cirque du Soleil La Nouba, the heart of the West Side. Also make sure you stop by DisneyQuest indoor interactive theme park, fresh fun for every member of the family. Downtown Disney’s West Side is also home to Planet Hollywood, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck Café and Bongo’s Cuban Café. Shoppers will enjoy the House of Blues Company Store, the Cirque du Soleil Shop, Magnetron Magnetz and Mickey’s Groove.

Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Home to the largest Disney character store in the world, this is the place to purchase anything and everything Disney. Fulton’s Crab House and Portobello Yacht Club offer seaside dining on the shores of Village Lake while the Rainforest Café provides a tropical atmosphere while serving sandwiches, gourmet salads and their signature dessert, the Sparkling Volcano. Specialty shops in the Marketplace include Disney’s Days of Christmas, Once Upon a Toy, Team Mickey Athletic Club and the Art of Disney.

Downtown Disney Pleasure Island.

Experiencing a renaissance, the Pleasure Island area is currently home to specialty shops and outdoor food and beverage vendors. It is also the headquarters for Orlando Harley-Davidson, which will remain after the grand unveiling of new stores and restaurants in 2010.

Does your little princess want a makeover? Stop by the Bibbibi, Bobbibi Boutique for a complete wave of the magic wand. Owned by the Fairy Godmother, little princesses are transformed by fairy godmothers-in-training into their princess of choice. They can have their hair, makeup and nails done, taking home a souvenir photo to remember their special day. Downtown Disney is fantastic any day of the week however stopping by on Sundays brings extra entertainment. The House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch offers delectable Southern cuisine while some of the country’s top gospel choirs perform for your listening pleasure. Located on the West Side, stop by for food and music that feeds the soul as well as the appetite.

Getting to Downtown Disney.

Accessible from all the Walt Disney World Resort hotels by bus, there is also plenty of convenient parking available for guests arriving from outside the resort. Exit I-4 from southern Orlando at the Walt Disney Resort exits and follow the signs to Downtown Disney.
